Working Conversations Episode 81:

How to Get a Second Chance at Anything

“If you are still breathing, you have a second chance.” – Oprah Winfrey

Have you ever screwed something up – whether at work or in your personal life – and wished for a chance to get a “do-over”?

A second chance to do something when your first attempt was unsuccessful or unsatisfactory?

I know I have!  Too many times to count! Especially when I am trying something new, taking a risk, or working outside of my comfort zone.

We are mere mortals who do not get everything right the first time. All of us have made mistakes in our lives.

But guess what? If you are reading this, it means there are still plenty of second chances for you because you are still breathing!

Yes, my friend, you and I still have a plenty of second chance. I don’t want you to live with regret and I don’t want to live with regret either.

That’s why in this episode I remind listeners, including myself, that we can give ourselves second chances and perhaps even more critically, we need to extend grace to friends, family, and coworkers and give them a second chance.

You’ll also learn how to get creative on how you give yourself a second chance. Because the actual circumstances of where you’d like a second chance may be something that isn’t going to happen again, and you need to think differently about the situation to find a second chance.
